    We know that finding a person who adds value as well as skill is just half the story. The other half is finding the person who fits the culture and style of the business. Doing that successfully takes skill, knowledge and expertise. We understand the Marketing Communications business because we have worked in the industry as operators and executives in many roles and in many different organisations.

    The Mellor Partnership understands that it is people who make the difference. Exceptional people make an exceptional difference and can give a commercial advantage. We find this talent.

    We will only work with clients we have visited and whose brief we fully understand. We will also only take on work when we know we can deliver the right candidates.

    We don’t just pull names off a database. We actively search for the right person. We identify suitable source companies and relevant individuals within those companies. We then interview the most suitable face-to-face before presenting them to you.

    This process actively targets the most qualified and most successful candidates available. The majority are not looking to change jobs and so cannot be sourced through any other means.

    We are determined that every placement we make is a success for both candidate and client. We help forge more productive, happier working relationships by retaining contact with both client and candidate long into
    the future.

  • SEARCH OPTIONS

    Flexibility is key, and as owners of the business we are able to be flexible about how we work. Conventionally there are three main search options:

    • Retained Search is for more complex or confidential briefs. This is a premium service that provides an extensive search of the market place on a retained basis. It’s what we have specialised in since we were set up.
    • Contingent Search is typically used for non-board level appointments. With this search we only get paid when we have placed a candidate.
    • Advertised Search can be used when the candidate may come from a wide range of sources. We will help you design and implement an advertisement, handle all responses, and identify the best candidates.

    In addition to the headhunting services we offer, The Mellor Partnership has forged links with companies and individuals who can add value to an organisation’s performance. We can offer clients support in executive coaching, business mentoring and procurement negotiation.
    For many years at Saatchi & Saatchi, Managing Partner Simon Mellor was responsible for the analysis, negotiation and acquisition of advertising and marketing services companies worldwide. With this wealth of experience and extensive range of contacts we are well placed to assist clients should you be looking to buy or sell a business.

CANDIDATES

Candidates are our clients too. We will treat you with respect and do our best to help you through what can be a stressful process.

It’s our duty to provide you with the very best opportunity to demonstrate your skills and abilities within an environment that will enable you to excel. Our strong ethics and high standards mean we interview everyone face-to-face and only send your details to clients with your prior agreement.

We believe a client should be able to form an opinion of you based on how you sell yourself and, therefore, we do not rewrite your CV, although we will check it for typos!

We will brief you fully on the available opportunity. In order to do so, we will only work with clients whom we have visited and whose brief we fully understand. We will provide you with showreels and press cuttings and help you develop an understanding of the client company and the people you will be meeting.

It may seem an obvious thing to say, but we like talking to you - as soon as we have news from our clients, we will let you know, and we welcome calls from you, even if it’s just for a catch-up chat.

We will always give you the best advice and only recommend a role if we believe it to be a good opportunity for you. With our extensive knowledge of the business and trends within it we are well placed to advise you on your career development. After all, we want you to be happy and successful, and if you are, we are too!
